Millivolt versus IPI Control
More and more Monessen gas fireplaces are being manufactured with the option of the IPI Control which is the electronic version of the vented and ventless gas logs and fireplaces. With the IPI Control there is no standing pilot and a battery back up. There are some nice remote features that operate the gas logs or fireplace such as a 3 stage flame height adjustment and thermostat control. The thermostat will control the heat in the room and flame height adjustment can be done to lower the BTU output so you can enjoy the atmosphere of the gas logs or fireplace longer.
