Check with your local building department to be sure vent free gas logs can be installed in your area. Vent free products cannot be installed in bathroom or bedroom applications. The installation must conform with local building codes or in the absence of local codes, with the National Fuel Gas Code, ANSI Z223.I/NFPA54. Many vent free units also have vented operation instructions and still may be used for your application if vent free is not allowed.
