I have a Monessen DST30NV that does not have a remote and I would like to add one.  The only way to currently turn the logs off/on is to use the controls on the side of the logs. Will this or other remotes work with the log set and are there components that will need to be installed on the logs to allow remote operation? I would really love to have a thermostat or flame control feature on the logs.

Hi Randall, The remotes we offer can be used with the Monessen ventless logs you own. You will be provided  a receiver with the remote purchase that attaches to the millivolt valve making the installation very simple. The remote with a built in thermostat is model RCST.
