We have a fire place that we converted several years ago into a vented gas fireplace. I am unhappy with the amount of heat that we get and want a better solution. It is a smaller vented fireplace, we currently have 16 inch logs. I want something that gives off a lot of heat. Can we convert to a ventless gas log set with a blower? Please advise. Thanks!

I can't answer the question without knowing the dimensions of your fireplace. In order to install ventless gas logs, there are minimum hearth requirements that determine whether an installation can be done in your fireplace. Vented gas logs require much less space than a ventless gas log set. If the ventless gas log set is too large for the opening, the oxygen depletion system will shut it down
